BIO:
After seeing The Interrupters live in Belgium, Skanimals’ bassist Marius Fugelsnes fell in love with skapunk, and decided to form a band with likeminded musicians: Birk Aigner (vocals/trumpet), TomMatheson (guitar), Henrik Degnes (drums) and Øyvind Tømmernes (Hammond). One year later, theirvery first album was released.
The debut album “Unleash The Skanimals” pushes the boundaries of what can be defined as skapunk, and varies from classic ska punk to hard punk to experimental circus music. With catchy trumpetlines, fast paced bass and sharp guitar riffs, this new Norwegian band will make your heart poundfaster and tempt you to dance.
Voted as second place in Ska-parades top 5 with the song B.O.T and with every single prior to the album’s release played on radio, Skanimals has a lot of faith in their product.
