The Unlimited Stars Release a Massive Single

A brand-new single from The Unlimited Stars brings out a soiree of classic early 90s-inspired elements of dark-laced progressive and expansive rock that lends a hand to cinematic inspiration and brings out lush instrumentation that deepen the song in the way of layers, textures, and soundscape.

"A New Life" is quite an escape. This track can really pull you away from wherever you are and whatever you are doing and put it into this completely different world for a chunk of time.

The song has an indie rock underbelly, but there are so many beautiful textures throughout its course that you get swept away by it all and then surprised by how explosive it ends up being.

There are more than a few of those surprises around the corners of this track and it's amazing to me how they are able to blend and bend genres at free will with this one.

You certainly have elements of alternative rock, a form of art rock, that progressive and vast sound aesthetic, and an almost theatrical feel to boot so, there's so much to soak in here.

The guitar work is outstanding as is the drumming. Both of these elements of the track seem to push each other and give the song this amazing drive. The first half of the song is a bit calmer and smoother. It's a build-up to the second half of the track which comes in with a massive sonic drive that feels like an orchestrated shoegaze-style wave sound that comes crashing down.

One of the most prevalent aspects about this track aside from the astounding Arrangement and surprises around the corners, is the fact that there's a violin throughout its play and this adds a whole different level and a whole different layer to the entire thing.

You have that bendy guitar that floats in the ether of the song for the first half of it. It adds a slight haunt and cinematic effect, but it helps build the song's atmosphere, especially towards the point of that climactic explosion.

The vocals are outstanding. They have such an alive and breathing kind of vibe to them which also does indeed add to that theatrical aspect I mentioned earlier.

This track has waves of intensities that come and go, and I love when it hits that massive shoegaze rock section because it blows you away and still remains super melodic and cinematic.

When I listen to this track, I get the feeling that a lot of this, if not all of it, was recorded live on the floor to an extent. It feels just like all the players involved were feeding off of each other's energies the entire time, so it puts you right there in the moment.

This is something that really reaches out and grabs me. This electric energy and fluctuation of intensities.

Again, I absolutely adore how a lot of this feels influenced by this classic 90s old rock approach but also in early 2000 shoegaze feel as well. It's got elements of grunge in there too, but they have their own thing going on.

This is a track that simply has its own complete aesthetic attached to it. There is a slight familiarity to some of it but really this track is a wild one.

The way the vocalist performs is something that sticks with you. She goes through changes throughout the track. As the music changes so does, she and her character.

This track was a great escape. When you are done listening to it you almost have to reacclimate yourself back to reality again.

I'm not sure I've heard anything exactly like this before and this is anything but cookie-cutter. This is outside-the-box thinking and is a perfect example of a track created with fewer boundaries than you may be used to.

Still, those subtle nuances of classic inspiration and influences are always there.

The entire thing is alive and breathing from beginning to end.

I love the violin approach. The fusion of that tone with the rest of the song is perfection.

This track was ridiculous. I absolutely loved it, and it took me for quite a ride as it will you if you listen to it.

It's heavy but in its own way. It's got loads of character and personality attached to it but in a theatrical way. It's got a vivacious and almost rambunctious energy to it, but in an arranged way.

This was killer.

I would definitely suggest listening to this track loud or with headphones on.

Again, there's plenty to soak in here and all those textures and layers of sound and tone are best heard right in your face. Right up against your ears.

Dive into this track and let it swim around in the air that surrounds you, and then, light it on fire.

Remember where you heard it first.
