The Transits Release "Middle of The Night"

The Transits are back with an amazing new single that breeds such a bright approach and brings that into this pop punk aesthetic. Still, it's done with the use of really addictive synths that bring a different Sonic frequency to the track and also serve as quite a big musical hook, and it all becomes a bit cinematic and anthemic.

"Middle of the Night" has a way of grabbing you right from the start with those synths, and the melody and tonality of it all feels sort of nostalgic and a strange way.

Now, The Transits always have something to say in their songs, and at times they can often reach into a nostalgic area in terms of the soundscape that they're going for or the premise of the song itself.

This track felt a little nostalgic for me simply because of those keys and the chorus of the track as well, because that melody sticks with you, but the song itself is relatable to a lot of us.

Even though it has this sense of vastness to it, it has an upfront pop Overcoat that really hits hard and has a particular way of wrapping itself around you.

The track itself has to do with certain kinds of struggles in a sense. It's really about things that keep you up at night. All of us go through these bouts of times when we are lying awake in bed just thinking of all these different things we need to deal with. Sometimes they're more detrimental or existential. Sometimes it's simpler, but whatever it is, we know it's something that will affect our lives, or at least we feel that way.

A lot of times, these things can be very emotionally driven. Things like love, heartbreak, loss, or sometimes it's just worrying about the future.

All of us can understand this, and "Middle of the Night" is an ode to those times when you're stuck awake at night thinking about these things and can't go back to sleep.

There are a lot of layers when it comes to what the song goes through lyrically and what its sentiment is because it's something everyone can touch on and relate with; however, The Transits pull it together in a way that we can all understand it.

This is one of their traits. Putting songs out there that have a catchiness to them with that pop overtone, punk undertone, and rock backbone, but they also have a message to send, sentiment, and purpose.

A lot of the time, plenty of people can relate to these sentiments or messages, and this is one of my favorite aspects about the band itself.

This truck has a brilliant and very bright musical approach, but it's still driving and has an edginess. That edginess is not its overtone here. The pop aspect and the lyrical sentiment are the overtone.

This is a song you want to hold on to. It feels like it was written just for you even though you know it wasn't.

Being able to have a song that you can connect with on this level is kind of a rarity.

The single has a great music video that is amazing to watch the first time you listen to the track.

The Transits is a band that always puts out outstanding music videos, and they're almost always the best way to listen to the track they release for the first time you hear it.

This is absolutely no exception of course.

These guys have already released a few tracks in the past few months, all outstanding, and have some really well put-together music videos that showcase the sentiment of the song in different ways.

This is another thing I love about these guys. The music videos they put together relate to the actual song a lot of the time and are not just random nonsense.

If it's not directly relatable to the lyrics of the track they're releasing, then the video is at least very eye-catching, cinematic, and super well-produced.

I think it takes a lot to put something together that has as much heart and time put into the video as it does the audio.

At any rate, definitely check this truck out as soon as you can, and while you're at it, listen to the previous release, "Outsiders", a punk rock style anthem, and "Ghosts of Summer".

The Transits pull it off again, and I'm definitely keeping my eyes and ears peeled for what's next.
