The Transits Drop a Punk Anthem

Writer: BuzzSlayersBuzzSlayers

We are more than proud to announce a new single from our friends The Transits, and this one delivers more of a crisp and anthemic punk approach that is truly a fists-in-the-air sing-along and is a love letter to the people who consider themselves outsiders.

"The Outsiders" is indeed a misfit anthem and does a great job of expressing that well lyrically while keeping the song bright, colorful, pop-coated and incredibly high energy as usual.

This is an addictive one and it crawls under your skin in the best ways possible. By the end of the track, you're singing along with that chorus loud and clear and letting the infectiousness of this track get into your bloodstream.

In true Transits style, these guys incorporate little hints of electronic synth stuff in there which add to the depth of the track but can bring brightness and colorfulness to the underbelly of it all.

That's the thing; this is not some heavy-hitting, grungy, edgy song. This is a bright and poppy punk rock single that is meant for you to jump around with.

There are certain things that these guys stick to when it comes to their songwriting approaches and styles but there are always these hints of different influences flowing in and out of their tracks.

The Transits are known for creating songs that cross boundaries and genres here and there which is always fun but, sometimes they just deliver that powerful punk single that you want to hear.

This is one of those instances.

These guys can get a little experimental when they want to and again, they always have certain elements that they keep in their tracks that bring the production quality to a crisp and pristine feel but it never loses the heart.

They always release songs with some kind of theme or message behind them. Those themes and messages never get lost in the mix. They're always at the forefront so you understand what the song is about and can connect with it.

This track is a perfect example of exactly that.

The Transits are well known for creating some great music videos for their releases.

The videos are always fun, shot super well, and a lot of them have storyboards that they follow or just have amazing cinematography. The videos normally fit the theme and vibe of the song along with the aesthetic of the soundscape very well.

This video was done a little differently and I found it refreshing.

The music video for "The Outsiders" is cut from clips of classic '70s and early '80s martial arts films.

This starts connecting well during this little breakdown section of the track and you start seeing older clips.

Instead of doing some crazy aerial or wide shots, focusing on crazy cinematography, or scouting a location to shoot a crisp new video, they cut together these martial arts films from different eras, and it works perfectly for the song because of how it's chopped up and edited.

Somehow the video keeps two not only the aesthetic but the energy of the track as well.

The whole thing was incredibly fun and as usual, the song is addictive and sticks with you.

I'm never surprised when I hear a new track from these guys but I'm usually pretty addicted to their song after just one listen.

Now, if you dig this track, you absolutely have to go back through their catalog because they release a lot of stuff and apparently they are planning on releasing plenty more soon.

There's tons to soak in and it ranges from this classic pop-punk feel to an edgier and heavier alternative rock and more, blending in electronic elements and all kinds of other stuff throughout certain tracks so it's a damn good time listening to their catalog.

Also, keep a lookout because we will be releasing our video interview with the transits in the coming weeks.

Until then, check out this new track and the last few they released because they're all amazing.

Of course, we popped the music video up top so you can see and hear exactly what I'm talking about.

Remember where you heard this first.
