TPH are former EMI Artists from Nova Scotia, Canada well known for writing clean indie rock hooks and unforgettable ear worms. A new record of 10 songs (Singles!) has just been produced at Ironshore Studios in the Cayman Islands with Andy Wallace protege Paul Suarez at the helm producing what will be the best sounding record from Canada in 2025. Suarez's previous experience with heavy / hard rock acts (including Blink 182, Biffy Clyro, Linken Park, Gojira, Korn, and Guns and Roses), -provides a fascinating sonic foundation to THP's fetching songcraft, creating polished original power-pop, with hooks that draw upon a scaffolding of crisp melodic flashbacks to the 80's rock single era. The new single "In the Queue" is a song about opposing views declaring each other as misinformation and conspiracy theory. It's about the abandonment of facts in todays society in favor of echo chamber manifestation. Musically the song draws from influences including Queens of the Stone Age, Eagles of Death Metal, with 80s retro nods to the Cure, Echo and the Bunnymen and the Cult, resulting in a fusion of stoner rock with the 80's pop single. These four guys can write and sing the perfect pop song. They can play and perform, and the engineering and studio capture by Suarez, simply leaves the listener wanting more. And there is more. With the upcoming release of a new 10 song album titled "Weirdo Squad", TPH are about to be recognized for one of the best written and recorded albums from Canada in the last 20 years. This is new and emerging Indie/alt-rock at it's best. We're hoping to get TPH more widely known and heard, added to Spotify playlists and curators, seeking more streams, more publicity, possibly attaining shows with comparable acts, and ultimately having TPH recognized as premier Indie/alt-rock songwriters and performers of today in the United States, Canada, and the UK.
