An EP release from The Artist Known As Tim delivers a unique brand and breed of honesty that comes through in these beautiful and lush, robust feeling Americana and southern kissed songs that shed a lot of light into the artist's character as a person.

The Bitter As Hell, Pt3 EP has such a beautiful array of instrumentation involved and it comes through with that bit of emotional drive along with an energy that feels almost like you're right there in the moment.

The performances across the board are outstanding but it's really the lyrics and the passionate vocals that are able to grab hold of you and keep you right where they want to.

Right from the get-go you're getting glimpses and pieces of Tim as a person because he puts those pieces into his music constantly it would seem.

The lyrics are very honest and straightforward and paint a great picture of the character behind who's releasing these songs and what he is all about.

Some of the tracks can feel very relatable and I feel like it's a lot for someone to let all that inner thought spill out this way.

In a way, it feels almost like Tim's writing and releasing these songs may have been cathartic, but whoever listens can really understand where he's coming from.

Again, there's a massive warmth in the tonality of these tracks and the instrumentation has this rustic folk underbelly to it that lets the songs feel so spirited and alive.

This is one of my favorite aspects of the entire record. It sounds like these songs were recorded live on the floor, and anyone involved was just feeding off each other's energy the entire time.

It's been a while since I heard such authenticity come through with so much strength.

Being able to portray these kinds of standpoints, thoughts, and sometimes, emotions, must not be easy to articulate into words let alone words and music.

It's refreshing and even rejuvenating to hear a record that gives you so much to latch onto.

The performances are absolutely outstanding. The guitar work is great, there's violin, and so many layers of that almost rustic texture that come through, and in combination with the lyrics and the Soulful vocal performances, it all hits a certain way.

This is an impactful release. Within a three-song range, Tim was able to not only pull me out of wherever I was and whatever I was doing but was also able to make me feel like I knew who he was as a person more when the record was over.

This EP is certainly for fans of country, Americana, folk of all kinds, and people who just love full-bodied and robust, beautiful instrumentation.

People who like songs with meaning and can make you think, and feel will love this record.

As I mentioned before, this record is called Bitter As Hell, Pt3 so I took it upon myself to go on a little hunt for parts one and two.

Part 1 was amazing. There is a ton of soul with a bit of blues influence and this almost gospel feeling at times even though there weren't gospel vocals. You just get soul.

Also, a ton of honesty of course, and it makes perfect sense in terms of connecting the records together.

The same goes for part two. All three of these EPS go together extremely well and should just be a full album in my opinion. But I also love how he separated them into these EPs and let you soak them in at different times.

If you take all three of the Bitter As Hell records and play them back-to-back, it's an amazing experience. You can still do this on Spotify.

Tim is most certainly an artist who, again, gives pieces of himself into his music. I feel like he's got a lot to say and a lot to give and this is the way he knows how to do it best.

There are no actual walls built around these songs so they're very upfront and can be pretty personal, but this is the beauty of art like this.

I would suggest listening to this EP but again, I would also suggest listening to all three of these EPS back-to-back. Bitter As Hell Pts. 1, 2, and 3.

Dive into these now and remember where you heard it first.
