Writer: BuzzSlayersBuzzSlayers

On the latest album release from Rob Martini, he finds himself collaborating with some outstanding musicians to create a record that is diverse, and eclectic yet still has this wonderfully driving glue that holds everything together.

The Rob Martini & Friends Vol 7 album hits and crosses everything from soul-pop to R&B, commercial pop, electronic, hip-hop, and more.

One of the most outstanding things about this album as a whole, is that it encompasses so many genres and that each individual track takes you on a completely different journey in a different direction.

Each single has a different collaboration, and Rob is joined by all of these brilliant musicians throughout the record and in turn, giving it that eclectic and surprising style.

By the time you get to the third or fourth track, you begin to expect the unexpected.

You quickly realize that with each collaboration, the other musicians and artists involved will bring their flavor and Rob is going to follow suit by taking the track in that direction as well.

This was a wild and colorful release with so much to soak in as the record spans 15 tracks and is almost an hour in length.

Tracks like "Live Is A Ride" featuring Matt Strathdee, take a classic and vintage hip-hop ride that feels nostalgic but genuine at the same time. Others like "Dance The Night Away" featuring Hunter Roberson, bring out more of an R&B and dance-pop vibe by combining unique synths and keys along with smooth and silky vocals giving off a lot of personality.

Again, there are no two songs that are alike. That's part of the brilliance of this record and how he's bringing all these people into it.

The only way to listen to this is by doing it in full. It's best done in one shot all the way through. Take the hour and listen to this because there's so much to soak in and it's endlessly fun and surprising.

Along with the artists involved, each song delivers its own character and personality. A lot of the songs have stories to tell. Some of them are more personal than others while some are fun bangers that have a wonderfully driving vibrancy.

This is an album that serves as an amazing escape. Not just because you don't know what to expect next as each song comes along, but more because if you listen to it all the way through, you have to snap yourself back to reality.

The release encompasses a beautiful array of songwriting and instrumentation that the entire thing comes through as lush and full-bodied covering so many pop-coated approaches.

This album was one of the more flavorful ones I've heard in quite some time and it pulled me in quickly.

What's mind-boggling is the production of these songs. Each track has its own feel and is done with such a pristine and crisp production no matter which direction it's taking musically.

Because of this, you can tell there was a lot of attention to detail during the creation of this record but it still has all these great vibes and personalities flowing through its veins.

There's so much of that character strewn across the release that you can't turn away.

You end up wanting to know what the next song will sound like.

A lot of the time there's great soul in the performances, passion, heart, and loads of colorful catchiness and vivacious styles that reach out and grab at you.

Some of these tracks are completely danceable as well and there are a lot of instances where the vocals are just incredible.

This was definitely a record built with fewer boundaries than you may be used to so prepare yourself for that before going into it.

Again, try to dive into this record in full. Listen to it from beginning to end because it's worth that hour of your time.

Take a deep dive into this release when you can and see how it affects you.

Remember where you heard it first.
