The most recent release from No Life comes through with an absolutely blistering soundscape that has this aggressive and fierce underbelly to it, and this is something that really helps drive the song and all its endless energy through the roof because this track blends classic hardcore, metal, grindcore, and more all into this almost sporadically intense single.

"One Hitter" is an explosive track to say the very least. The guitars and entire tonality of the song as a whole it's like a sucker punch to the gut and sticks with you after it's ended so that you really still have that lingering sense of blood boiling under your skin.

The track features ten56. and together, the combination of elements delivers a thriving, riling, and destructive metal and hardcore approach that really manages to sound like something that blends East and West coast hardcore styles but also puts in these augmented and almost haunting guitar sections that remind you of bands like Dillinger Escape Plan.

The whole thing comes off with a brutality that metalheads will absolutely love but for me, although I am also a bit of a Metalhead, I grew up with a lot of East Coast hardcore pants and these guys really capture a certain aesthetic of that approach especially vocally.

This is the kind of track where everything pushes each other. The vocals have a way of driving the song even further and helping everything else just push the envelope to where it needs to be.

The cool thing about this song is that it's inventive and a little bit outside the box so you have these great textures and tones that happen throughout the track that are mostly on the guitar, and these bring out a little bit of a different Nuance to the track and to the genre.

This is a check you get right into the mosh pit for. You go in swinging with your eyes closed and just feel the music in full.

This to me, is where the future of metal and hardcore is going. Being able to take familiar aspects of the genres but also bring something new to the table so that you have a different level of fierceness and still come through with a rumbling underbelly that packs that much of a punch and has that heavy of an edge.

No Life has already made plenty of waves and the single has really helped the band pave their way in the metal realm on their own terms.

The single has an accompanying music video that showcases the band's energy even more, and when you watch the video to listen to the song, it really makes you want to go see them live because you can just feed off of the energy itself.

That energy and that heaviness is completely infectious, and these guys have a brilliant way of displaying it all.

This is a brutally heavy track that has power behind it and that power delivers a drive that leaves you a bit shaken.

I love a good metal track that's outside the box. This song thinks outside the box. It was arranged and composed with a lot of attention to detail as to how it would be laid out and have this sort of forward-moving flow. The riffs and the vocal approach work are both super intuitive and inventive, so you have this great combination of a kind of old and new school that come together and just pound.

I would definitely suggest not only listening to this track loud of course but also watching the video to listen to it for the first time so that you can really get the full effect of the presence of what these guys are delivering here.

For these guys, the presence is half of the entire thing. It's incredible how intense they can be on the song and how everything is portrayed with a certain kind of heavy-handed approach that just crushes.

The whole thing doesn't let up and you're going to love the guitar parts that they deliver here too. I think the guitars are one of the bigger aspects of the whole outside the box approach.

Super heavy, vivacious, vicious, and with the intent for you never to be able to forget, most certainly blast this track.

Remember where you heard it first.
