A brand-new single release from Nille Nyc has quite a wonderful form of self-expression as she does give off a well-rounded honesty in the form of a song that unfolds into a very current and radio friendly feeling pop sound but does so with some outstanding production and a lot of that character to go along with it.
There's a lot about "Nevada" that can tell you a lot about who Nille is as a person as well as an artist because the lyrics are very straightforward but definitely come from a place of inner thought that has been brought outward into this song and perhaps this is how she gets those kinds of things off of her chest.
I definitely love that honesty and the way she even articulates her words and lyrics because she shapes them so that they're relatable to others and so when you listen to the song you completely understand where she's coming from.
She gives you a feeling and you attach yourself to that feeling and ride with it.
There's a lot about this track that's pretty addictive actually. One of the things is that it has this expansive kind of underbelly to it with a great vastness and cinematic backbone which both display an atmospheric feeling, and this is an element to the song that becomes a staple of its sounds.
There's also a little bit of an early 2000s and more current crossover in the arrangement and beats, synths and pads that are being used in the track and I think the layers of tones and textures really make a huge difference in how the song and its aesthetic comes through.
You definitely can feel some of that emotion as the song unfolds and it gives you a certain kind of energy because the song itself displays that energy well. She goes through a good amount in terms of being honest and telling you about those inner thoughts but the song as a whole gives you a kind of excitable feeling.
Like something big is going to happen. So, you can feel that excitement in the underbelly of the track and the music certainly helps that as well.
The beat has a great sort of classic pop approach to it, the song comes through colorful but has little hints of edginess in there, and the vocals are heartfelt but still coated in a great pop style.
Now, as far as we know, this seems to be a single that is meant to give you a little glimpse of her upcoming EP and if the EP has more like this then we're totally into it.
I can tell that Nille is the kind of artist that has no problem giving little pieces of herself along the way and when you listen carefully, you're able to pick up on those pieces and put them together.
I just think that's something special because you don't get it often.
This song itself has a refreshing feeling to it. Like a big change has happened or a big change is coming and maybe that's what the whole EP is going to be about as well.
Maybe a change has happened that was a big deal and when that happens, there's a lot of thoughts, emotions, and feelings that come along with that.
I can tell from this single alone that there is a certain level of intensity that shines through but in a good way. It's not negative at all to me. It's very positive and spirited actually.
I feel like that's a great word for this track actually. It's a very spirited track but it does go into both sides of the spectrum in terms of emotion, thoughts, and feeling again.
So, you're getting a lot from this track alone and because I was able to soak in so much from the song itself, I'm certainly looking very forward to the full EP release.
Take a good listen to this track when you can and remember exactly where you heard it first.
Also, don't forget to keep your eye out for the EP that's coming hopefully sooner than later.
