Nille Nyc returns with a fresh single that takes these classic and almost vintage pop elements from the '80s and some R&B tonalities from the '90s and wraps them all together in this one single that boasts a unique approach but speaks volumes for the artist as not only a songwriter, but as someone who can get detailed lyrically, and deliver a song with a lot of character.

"Grown-Up Party" is a unique track for several reasons and one of them is the fact that the song was written on her birthday during the Covid lockdown.

Just try to imagine what that must have been like.  being stuck at home on your birthday and taking that time to write a song. You can sit and reflect on different aspects of your life at that moment.

Having that time to reflect on your life is quite important. There are times we forget those aspects and how it means something to be able to look back and see where you've gotten.

One of the things I love about this track is the classic soundscape she brings together. The synths and keys are particularly toned to bring together that vintage aesthetic and seeing that it's something I grew up with, it gave me these bouts of nostalgia that I couldn't get away from.

You can tell this is also something that Nille herself grew up with as those influences are pretty strong in this track.

Even the way her vocal approach comes through has that sort of 90s R&B /pop approach and I love that she was able to hit that vibe and aesthetic so well while feeling completely natural in the process.

This is a track about how, when you get older, you start to view things differently. Certain things that were important to you when you were younger become less important now and your priorities change. Your views change.

I love how she tackled this in such a unique and vibrant way.

The song has a completely memorable killer chorus and by the second time around you'll be singing right along with it and it's a song that you can tell she loved doing.

Even though she was stuck at home when she wrote it, you can tell during the recording that she was completely feeling it. She comes through with that vivacious and alluring sound.

We're not exactly strangers to the music of Nille Nyc. She definitely has a special vibe when you listen to her music.

This is a song that feels like it could have been on the radio anywhere from the late '90s to today. This is unique because she can take those classic elements and bring them to a current platform.

This feels like an ode or a love song to the artists and bands that influenced her growing up.

She's also the kind of artist who isn't afraid to put herself out there and say what she wants to, how she wants to. This is also a huge aspect of why the song has so much character and personality attached to it.

Because it has all that personality, you also connect and attach to it as well.

Not to mention the song is extremely danceable and kind of addicting too.

I think this was a brilliant step and a great direction for the artist and  I have been keeping an eye on her ever since a song she released last year called "Nevada" was released.

This is also a must hear kind of song.

As a matter of fact, listening to a lot of her releases before "Grown-Up Party" is super important to get a better understanding of who she is and where she comes from because there are no two songs that are super alike and none of them are exactly cookie-cutter either.

She's got a group of singles released since 2019 and they all show different sides to how she does her thing as a person and an artist.

So, most certainly check this single out and dive into the rest because it's well worth your time.

Remember where you heard it first.
