New Music from Breath of Illusions

Breath of Illusions returns with a few new and incredibly performed singles that range and style but always include some outstanding guitar work that shows technique and Soul at the same time.

"Aces In the Sky" stands out as a track that utilizes a heavier almost metal approach with hard rock undertones and still has a natural and forward-moving flow.

You can hear blues influence and again, plenty of soul in the guitar work of this track with riffs that really hit hard but also have that natural liveliness to them along with drumming that pounds and adds a lot of drive to the track which ends up feeling massive.

The music of Breath of Illusions usually does have some great Sonic drive to it as a whole but this track in particular boasts that heavier and harder-hitting approach and it works perfectly here as the guitar work lends a hand to adding color to the edginess.

This is a track where you can hear a lot of different influences come through.

The lead guitar work and melodies that overlay the rhythm stuff is really outstanding and a lot of it comes through with hooks that stick with you for quite a while after the songs have ended.

One of the things I love most about this track is that it's something a little bit of a different direction but also boasts all those great staples that I know and love from this project.

Juan Alvarado does an outstanding job of displaying his love for the craft. He's obviously studied and performed guitar for many years and when you listen to his music, it all feels so natural.

The Colombian-based artist is inspired by some of the greats, especially in the heavy rock world along with some guitar virtuosos, and all of that shows in his songs.

Along with this new single comes another one that showcases a different side of his artistry.

The second track is called "Forever Will Be" which begins with a piano ballad-style approach which adds a different feel and texture to the music.

This is also a bit of a slower and more widespread pace, so he's got more room to do some crazy and influential guitar work that feels like it's got some emotional depth behind it.

Both of these tracks really do shine, and it lets him really thrive in terms of being free to record music that he really wants to.

A lot of his stuff feels extremely cinematic and instrumentally driven of course but it's all focused on this guitar work, which is a cross between heart, Soul, technique.

People who play guitar will absolutely love this stuff right away but people who don't actually play guitar will also really get engulfed by this stuff because again, it does have catchy melodies, hooks, some emotional backing, and that theatrical and cinematic feeling backbone that drives a lot of this music.

These are two of the latest releases from the Breath of Illusions project from Juan Alvarado and we certainly are no strangers to this project but have seen the evolution of it over time and it's been a beautiful thing.

If you're a guitar player who hasn't picked up the instrument in a while, then listening to the stuff will surely make you want to.

It's not only about the guitar work though. It's really about how he writes the songs and how he brings them to life as a full piece of music. They feel orchestrated but also written with a classic rock approach at the same time.

It's all really wonderfully woven and put together and Juan really has his finger on where his strengths are.

I would strongly suggest not only listening to these tracks but also listening to the 2022 release called The Awakening which is a full album and is absolutely outstanding all the way through.

Check out all of this stuff when you can and don't be afraid to turn it loud. Most certainly remember where you heard it first.
