A new single release from Mourning Coffee brings out a gorgeous and unique display of honesty along with bending and mending of genres with a track that has a thick emotional backbone, displays so much truth, and takes this contemporary, acoustic pop style vibe and mixes it in with hip hop.

"Come Back Home (Cre8ive Version)" is a song that most certainly expresses a lot of inner thought that just comes spilling out and this comes from both aspects of the track itself and both vocalists.

Mourning Coffee is joined by Cre8ive MC for this one and both of them seem to complement each other so well that the song just has a beautiful and natural forward moving flow to it that creates this atmosphere for you to fall right into.

This song has an outstanding way of engulfing you and I mean that in the best ways possible of course.

There are layers of textures built into the track with guitars and such robust vocal approaches and the switch off between that emotional chorus and the wrapping sections is really well put together.

Both the singing vocals and the wrapping are all very honest and they can be descriptive, and relatable to say the very least.

The way the lyrical phrasing is put together is outstanding. Not only do the words have their own flow but they bounce against the rhythm of the track perfectly so that you have a deep groove to fall into even while you are getting all of this more spacious flow musically.

This is kind of a genre all its own. I love that combination of styles and approaches because this makes a song that is created with fewer boundaries than the norm and I feel like this is part of what the future of music is all about.

Creating music with fewer walls built around it in general is very important and while these guys pull that together, they also give off such honesty that you get attached to the character and personality of the whole thing.

Throughout the song you have violins floating through the ether of it far in the distance, you have piano notes just giving you this beautiful melody right up front, and you have acoustic guitar strumming and adding that thickness to the track.

On top of all this, you have these vocal harmonies for the choruses, and everything comes together really well with what Cre8ive MC has to offer to the track which is even more of a descriptive and detailed set of lyrics that you become attached to simply because it builds that character and talks about the premise of what the song is all about.

Between the two of them, everything gets deep, and this is why you get engulfed by it all and eventually, washed away with it.

Now, this is a release with two versions of this single and the second version which has the same title with a 2.0 at the end of it, has a completely different musical approach.

The 2.0 version feels more like an indie pop track with these deep synths and keys, high-end bell keys, and more. It all flips the song's soundscape and gives it a completely different set of tones and textures from the original.

I definitely enjoyed both versions but listening to the 2.0 version really surprised me. It still had the same sentiment and emotional value that the original did, but it just felt a little bit different.

This was all beautifully done and you can tell there was a lot of attention to detail during the creation of these tracks, but it never loses the purpose, personality, or heart that it begins with in the first place and that may be the most important aspect of the entire thing.

I would suggest listening to both of these with headphones on so you can really soak in all the layers that are going on in both versions of the song and remember where you heard it first.
