I am Lidia, born on January 8, 1993, in a small village in Valencia, and I belong to the Romani community. For as long as I can remember, music and writing have been my greatest passions. Over the years, I’ve written thousands of drafts, but I’ve always struggled to share my work, as I found it too deep to show. Still, I’ve revealed a piece of that depth in everything I do. I am a psychologist and a social advocate. I worked as a social worker, especially with the elderly, a group I deeply respect for the lessons they offer. However, it was heartbreaking to see how they were sometimes treated, and that led me to make other decisions in my professional life. I’ve always been straightforward, fighting for those without a voice, and that has marked my path both in psychology and music. For me, music is more than just a passion. It’s a way of life, a way to express everything I carry inside. I compose my own lyrics, full of feelings and real experiences, inspired by what I’ve lived or witnessed around me. My style blends copla, flamenco, reggaeton flamenco, and pop, and I always strive to keep my essence in everything I do. I’ve released several songs, including Rompe, Sin Ti No Más, and Tasabada, the latter inspired by the stories of many Romani women I’ve met. Each song contains a piece of my soul, and I’m working on an album called Gitana Soul, where I seek to reflect my roots and musical influences. Throughout my career, I have always sought authenticity, both in my music and in my life. I firmly believe in the power of copla and pure flamenco, and although I’ve had to adapt to the current market, I will never give up my essence. I’m a lover of copla, and I believe there is no better way to express pain and passion than through it. That’s why I will continue to release coplas and defend this genre with all my heart. Recently, I presented Rompe for the Eurovision 2025 pre-selection, and I’m excited about what the future holds for my music.
