Kele Fleming Releases A Beautifully Woven Single

The latest single release from Kele Fleming delivers a very vast undertone in the form of a flowing and dreamy pop single that gives off not only a lush soundscape but a lush personality and character along with it and I think that's something that bears a lot of impact to how the song comes through.

"Turing Test" is beautifully performed and her vocals are absolutely angelic on this release.

Kele has a unique vibrato to her voice and an almost subtle or delicate style of performance that lets the notes sort of float around. This is beautiful simply because it's almost like the vocals are used as an instrument themselves, which adds a completely new text translator to the song and also builds on the atmosphere that the song delivers as a whole.

I feel like this is a slight genre-bending track simply because it incorporates pop, contemporary, a little bit of rock undertone as well, but it's all again, sort of subtle. Everything is really well balanced. The guitar tones are gorgeous and a lot of the notes in the song float through the ether so that you can float right alongside them.

This single really has a way of engulfing you, wrapping itself around you, and then letting you get washed away with the entire soundscape of it all as well.

For me, I'm also picking up on elements of a bit of a 90s underground pop aspect as well which comes through with a hint of edginess and a post-punk approach. Again, these elements are just sort of hinted at throughout the track, but they do play a part in the aesthetic of the song.

The instrumentation is gorgeous as well and there's a lot of acoustics going on which so has a bit of a cinematic backbone.

I think this is because there is an emotional drive behind it along with this wondrous and almost fantastical overtone that also plays a huge part in the atmosphere of the song and the fact that you can get swept up into this track at any given moment.

The song has a damn near-perfect energy balance to it as well. It's not over the top and again it does have this forward-moving flow that takes you along with it and you go on this little journey because of it.

The element that hits the hardest about this track in terms of its tonality is the drums. The percussion is a bit heavy-handed which actually works to give the song a little bit of extra drive.

This was a really smart move because a lot of the rest of the song is so floaty and soft. Those drums hitting as hard as they do and being as upfront as they are in the mix let the song push through and have a little bit of punch to it as well.

I think this is partially where that alternative undertone comes from.

I love this track vocally because it has a way of both delivering a little bit of haunt and also that angelic tone I mentioned earlier. For one song to encompass all that is intense in a certain way, and it lets the song have an impact and leave its mark.

This was a song that I won't forget, and I find it super interesting that there are these segments of melodies and notes that get stuck in my head after listening to the song.

It's one of those songs that pull you away from what you're doing and put you in a different place.

I adore that part of how this song comes through because it's a little bit of an escape.

I would strongly suggest listening to this track with headphones on because it's one of the best ways to listen in general.

You can soak all these beautiful notes and melodies in that way.

Don't forget, this is a song with all kinds of textures that float through the ether of the song, as I mentioned before. To soak that all in properly, headphones is the best way to go. It will take you to a different place.

An absolutely beautiful track from Kele Fleming, listen to "Turing Test" when you can and see how it affects you.
