An upcoming single release from JulianGK delivers quite a catchy and upbeat pop-rock soundscape but it does come with a great edginess along with that memorable chorus and loads of personality that it exudes.

"Game of Blood" doesn't waste much time giving you something memorable by blending punk, alternative rock, and more. All of these are rolled into this one track that comes through with a perfect combination of color and still recording edginess.

One of my favorite aspects about this track is its anthemic chorus because it hits hard but also has that pop coating that makes you think of classic pop punk bands like the Ramones.

I love the combination of influences here as well. You do have classic punk influence along with alternative rock influences and the song has an amazing energy to it as well which is part of its drive and helps push that vivacious personality and performance even further.

The track is certainly addicting and you have that chorus bouncing around in your head for hours after the song ends.

This is a bouncy single and it's the kind of song that you'll find yourself singing right alongside with the second time around or, even just dancing around the living room as it plays loud.

The track comes with a music video that really showcases JulianGK's presence as an artist even more as he jumps around, sings into a microphone, and gives you a fun and vibrant show while you get this great story that's portrayed as well, and the visuals all come together amazingly.

Everything is acted out incredibly well and you get more of a feel for the theme of the track when you watch this video.

You can tell there was a lot of attention to detail during the creation of this single and video but it never loses that character that it begins with in the first place and this may be the most important aspect of the entire thing.

It does have this sort of dark or gothic edge to it in a Misfits kind of way but again, that's part of that punk influence that flows through the veins of the single and probably the artist himself.

The drumming on this track pushes the envelope so that the song ends up being exactly where it needs to be and the whole thing has an outstanding energy almost like a live performance in a way.

Listening to this track makes you want to see it performed live simply because if this kind of energy is captured on record so well then seeing it live in your face would be awesome.

With pop-rock or pop-punk, it's kind of important to have that, in-your-face kind of energy. This is something that can make or break a track like this and it certainly helped make it.

Upon listening to this track I took a little bit of a deep dive into the artist's back catalog and I'm certainly happy about that because I came across quite a few killer releases including one from last year called Heart on Sleeve which is an EP that exemplifies all the things that I'm talking about with this new single.

The songs on that record also showcase parts of his personality along with his artistry and a lot of that stuff is super catchy and memorable but still hits hard.

"Game of Blood" comes out on Valentine's Day and appropriately so however, as I mentioned earlier, listening to the EP is an amazing way to introduce yourself to JulianGK's music and can really help prep you for this new single.

There's a lot of amazing stuff on the release and anyone who loves classic or new school pop-punk, pop-rock, alternative, and more, is going to love this record and this new single.

Check this out as soon as possible, don't be afraid to turn it up, and remember where you heard it first.

Don't forget the new single comes out on February 14th, Valentine's Day.
