ET Boys return with a brand new and unbelievably addictive single that spans the spectrum of synth-pop, dance-pop, electronic, and more, all with a warm and sort of welcoming tonality and an insane level of dance ability that hits right from the get-go.
"Far Away" is released with Wake Up! Music Group and really displays such wonderful use of synths and keys throughout its play, and it manages to hit little hints of nostalgic and vintage 1980s pop approaches with those tones and textures.
This is one of the most addictive factors of the track to me because they're able to blend that classic and then new school feels together so seamlessly that it builds an amazing atmosphere for you to just dive right into.
As soon as the check starts you have an array of colorful sounds that hit you and it makes you want to get up and hit the dance floor or, maybe just get off your butt and dance around the room at home like I did.
Your head immediately starts feeling with images of disco lights and colorful neon-lit atmospheres.
The more I listen to this track the more I realize it's kind of like a new wave song.
They managed to nail this particular aesthetic that does take you back to that time in electronic and dance music where new wave and synth-pop were the hugest they've ever been while still bringing in a freshness simultaneously.
The vocals most certainly lend a hand to how fun this track ends up being.
Believe me, the production itself makes you want to dance, makes you want to shake your booty, and brings that classic feel but the vocals add to all of that plus, they bring this animated element and texture to the song that makes it even more fun and colorful than it was before.
There are cool little new school breakdown elements, and you can tell there was a lot of attention to detail when they built this track. The production side of things is super tight but with a youthful and fun looseness to it at the same time.
They created something that sounds well put together but also has that vibrant approach and it bounces, jives, moves, and has a perfect energy that is very infectious.
Again, the vocals had a lot to the song, and they come through with these great bending approaches at times making the choruses super memorable but, even the verses are a little bubbly and colorful as well.
I love a song where the verses can be as catchy as the chorus. They don't come along often but this is one of them.
Now, we're no strangers to ET boys. We've heard quite a bit of their previous releases including last year's EP Papou which has now had over a million streams on Spotify.
I'm not going to get into that whole EP right now but the fact that it's got that many spins already should bring you there on its own.
This is the track you should introduce yourself with. The music of ET boys is something you want to get engulfed in because it's so much fun.
They are experimental, bring surprises, and have that certain something that lets their songs feel polished but not over the top.
I suggest you jump into their world with "Far Away" and then, venture into previous releases.
I can promise you this will be a damn good time to say the least.
Put your dancing shoes on and turn this track on right now.
Remember where you heard it first.
