A new single release from Discover brings out a sun-soaked and breezy soundscape with a welcoming aesthetic and upbeat approach that all come together to deliver a wonderful atmosphere with such a beautiful pop color and layered and lush textures.

"Lonesome In the Sun" is a track with a certain way of growing. It kicks right in with this great beat and guitars that already bring on that breezy undertone. It's the vocals that drive the song and add those refreshing tones.

What I love about this track is how the vocals are actually layered and harmonized. You have these great echoed, call-back vocals that bounce off and overlap each other, giving certain parts of the song this full-bodied but still very smooth effect.

There's something about this track that just feels cinematic. It's the kind of song you can picture in a film or a TV show where people are cruising along a California road with the top down and the sun shining.

That's the kind of aesthetic the song gives off, but it also has a personal undertone as well.

It's a song that delivers a character along with all that Lush Melody and warmth.

The track certainly has a vivacious pop overcoat and isn't afraid to start building instruments as it unfolds. Towards the second half of the song, you have horns that fill any empty space and really bring in newer tonalities with more color, harmony, and brightness.

This is a release with a lot of presence.

I also love how the energy is perfectly balanced. It is a bit vivacious and vibrant, but it also has that smooth calmness that gives the song a flowy feel.

Again, plenty of that has to do with the vocals, which are performed in a way that feel like trickling waterfalls, and that flow is a huge attribute to why the song wraps itself around you and keeps you right where it wants to.

I can't help but adore a track that's got its own atmosphere and this one certainly does. As I mentioned earlier, it's certainly cinematic but it's also very danceable. It's a song that you can't really help but start dancing to almost immediately.

It's got this positive energy to it that is quite infectious and this almost jangle pop approach really works wonders for how the song comes across aesthetically.

The single comes with an accompanying music video that sort of pushes the aesthetic even more as it shows clips of open highways, radios tuning in, palm trees, a Los Angeles-looking cityscape, sunsets, and again, just that warmth.

The video certainly brings the right kind of visual attribute to the song, and they go hand in hand perfectly.

This is the track I would suggest listening to with headphones on simply because of those beautiful layers and some depth with a touch of vast underbelly to the track. Listening with headphones lets you soak all of those layers in and lets you hear those lyrics clearer.

This is a great track to start your day with because it'll put a certain mood to everything. Again, it is spirited in its own sense, which is certainly an infectious aspect you end up taking with you throughout your day.

The single is part of an upcoming album to be released via Hot Puma records, and if the full record has more tunes like this one, then I can't wait to hear it.

Check this track out and enjoy it.

Remember where you heard it first.
