Davy Williamson Releases a Driving and Honest Rock Single

Writer: BuzzSlayersBuzzSlayers

The latest release from Davy Williamson is already making waves and we can see exactly why. The track comes with a massive number of personal attributes and inner thoughts that come spilling out for all to soak in, and in turn, delivers this thick-laid character and personality that is so relatable and understandable that you get attached to it straight away.

"Demons" is a banger of a song and wastes very little time coming in as a heavy hitter with catchy and sort of bopping rhythms for the verses but a vast undertone and a fists in the air, sing-along anthem of a chorus that boasts so much power behind it you can't turn away.

The track is brutally honest and serves as a cry out for the emotional backbone that comes along with being in a spot where you feel stuck, alone, and dealing with your own inner demons.

There is a bit of a triumphance to it as well but it's the darker and edgy honesty that reaches out and grabs you.

The importance of a song like this is that it's hard to let those kinds of thoughts out into the open. Not because we don't want to, but more because we don't know how to articulate those into words let alone words and music.

When we hear a song like this it simply lets us know that we're not alone because you can automatically connect with it.

I think all of us of a certain age have lived through the thought process and struggle being portrayed in this single.

There is a very powerful element to this track that comes from the music as well.

It's a song that you can hear that emotional drive musically just as much as you can hear it vocally.

The chorus is impactful and has a sort of sad feeling progression and melody. You have layers of vocals that come into play here and they make the course sound super lush and this comes with a heavy-handed punch that's packed.

The guitar tones and approach are heavy and the track is a cross between a massive alternative rock soundscape and a little bit of extra edginess that makes it feel sort of metal in its own way.

However, this is not a metal song. This is more alternative rock but it's a personal and almost cinematic form of it.

Before the last chorus comes in there's a breakdown section that's very cinematic actually. This is like the calm before the storm which is that final chorus, of course.

The build into that last chorus is intense and when it hits it is by far the most intense chorus of the track as it should be.

An incredible sonic drive but a passionate and heartfelt honesty that, again, gave it character and personality along with connectivity in terms of the lyrics. We can all relate to what's going on here and it's portrayed with a mass amount of emotion behind it.

Davy Williamson is an artist who knows how to put a song together. He knows how to deliver something memorable but still heavy. Something that's catchy but still has this almost sullen and defeated undertone.

That's just life. This song feels almost like it was cathartic for him to write and release. Maybe it was.

It definitely had an impact on me because I get exactly where he's coming from and because the delivery of it all was spot on.

The whole track is completely authentic, and I will most certainly be keeping an eye on Davy Williamson from here on out.

Check this track out and listen to it loud. Again, it's really catchy. That chorus sticks with you for a long time after the song has ended.

The track is an absolute powerhouse and anyone who loves emotionally driven heavy rock will fall for this one right away.

Take a deep dive into this track and remember where you heard it

first.
