A recent single release from CloZure delivers an anthemic and melodic alternative rock soundscape with these powerful and Soulful vocals and a vast undertone that makes everything feel almost cinematic in its own way but it all comes with this particular sort of character that ends up letting you get very attached.
"Nevermore" is a bit of a brutal song emotionally and I think that has a lot to do with the fact that it definitely comes from a real place from the front woman and vocalist who does an outstanding job of giving all of this almost theatrical level performance throughout the whole song because it just makes it so in-depth and so enticing.
The band is killer and you can tell that they all have a true love for the craft which is writing songs together and not necessarily just playing their instruments, and I think that's where the power of this track really comes from.
I think when this song was done they all knew they had something special on their hands and when you listen to it you'll understand what I mean by having that emotional drive and cinematic feel.
The guitar work is outstanding and the tones of everything really line up perfectly as well.
This is one of those songs where each element of it pushes the next. The guitar work and drumming push the vocals and all of it just gets where it needs to be but it all feels so natural and forward moving as well.
I love a good track that has a great edge like this one, it's heavy, it pounds, but it also has that realness to it. The emotion is there embedded in the veins of this music.
To me, this is indeed quite anthemic and it leaves a mark and an impact especially for people that really relate to it.
I also can't get around this crazy electric energy that the whole band actually has. It feels almost like some of the song was recorded live on the floor and everyone was feeding off of each other the entire time.
I'm sure that probably isn't exactly how it was done, but you just get that five and that feeling off of the band's energy.
Either way, listening to this track certainly makes you want to see them perform it live especially so that the vocalist could just be right in your face belting and doing our thing.
There's just such a level of beauty and intensity along with that combination of character and edginess that really help the song push the envelope.
You get elements of classic 90s alternative rock, heavier elements like almost into the metal realm, you also have a much more updated feel as well but I think it's that mending of passionate and Soulful, intense and bellowing vocals with the edgy and heavy guitar work and drumming of this track that really makes it special.
It is all very melodically driven as well. It's heavy, but it's melodically heavy.
Along with the track comes a company music video and watching this video really just pushes all of those notes I touched on even more.
You can watch everyone rock out and do their thing, get a little glimpse of the storyline behind the song, and watch this singer steal the show.
This whole thing was gracefully performed and it still packed a hell of a punch.
Definitely check this track out as soon as you can and do not be afraid to turn it up.
Remember where you heard it first.
