Chris Peters Returns with a Heartwarming Single

Chris Peters returns with a beautiful new single that has such a warm and honest sentiment that you start to think of your own person or your own relationship if you're in one and this is because the way that he expresses himself in this wonderful love song isn't anything that is overdone. Instead, the lyrics of this song touch on the little things that come with day-to-day life in a relationship and how much he lets these things touch him in different ways.

"Crewneck" has a particular way of pulling at the heartstrings and again it's because of those lyrics. He sings about being with somebody that he truly does love and how all those little things let him love even more and I find this so alluring simply because it's not over complicated but instead is super straightforward and that makes it incredibly relatable at the same time.

He's also very descriptive lyrically and this is kind of a staple for Chris's music in general. He gets descriptive with lyrics and is not afraid to express himself to the truest form in his songs which is super refreshing by the way.

Those descriptive lyrics let you paint pictures in your head and that is quite a beautiful thing honestly because you can't help but input your own person into those images and those scenarios so because of all of this, the song ends up being very connective which again is also a staple with Chris's music.

I think that Chris Peters has a natural knack for writing music in the way that you feel like you're just sitting there talking to somebody. You're getting the full story with all these little details that aren't intrusive but are laid out in a way that you totally get it and that articulation of how he words his lyrics is such an addictive aspect to his music in general.

This track is an indie acoustic track and when I say that I mean there's elements of indie pop in there with some blended instrumentation but it's mainly acoustic guitar and vocals so that you're getting a bit of a stripped down feel but not completely stripped down.

There are lusher areas with hooks and melodies that ring in so you get those licks that stick with you while you're painting this picture that he's giving you.

It's got a sort of cute bop to it and that also gives it a little bit of that indie feel and I think that it's just something Chris does to get things off of his chest or express himself in the best way he knows how.

As the song plays on the instrumentation gets larger although that acoustic guitar is laying right on top in the mix so it feels still warm and welcoming no matter what.

You have these almost orchestrated, cinematic feeling pads and strings that start bringing thickness to the song and building on the emotion that is already evident but making it larger.

As the song builds musically and emotionally you get that sense of intensity in your chest and you know at that moment that you're feeling something from this and when that happens you also realize that this song is completely authentic.

Authenticity and songwriting is a rarity. When you listen to something and you know it comes from some place real, is a special thing.

Chris Peters writes music that you do indeed think and feel from and I find that not just impressive but more relieving in a way.

A song like this one in particular, lets you not feel like you're so alone when you have such heavy emotions like the emotion of love for example.

Sometimes the feeling of love or being in love is so overwhelming that you don't actually know how to express it and that's why artists like Chris writes songs like this.

Of course he wrote this for himself or for that person obviously, but when you're listening to it as an outsider you completely understand and relate to every aspect of this and you're a little bit blown away at the articulation again.

His descriptions, the way he describes the emotions, the way he takes those little moments and lets you know how big they actually are when you're in love with someone.

I don't think those kinds of things are easy to pull off but Chris just has that natural way of doing it.

This was a completely heartwarming track and once again, Chris Peters did an outstanding job of self-expression and making a song still have a catchy and heavy emotional drive all at the same time.
