B.F.Raid Hits Us with a Massive Release

Updated: 11 minutes ago

An album release from B.F. Raid wastes no time unleashing a fierce and vivacious combination of anthemic hard rock and metal, elements of punk, and a lot more all rolled into one massive record that hits with a great attitude, gritty punch, and arena-rock style approach.

The Raided Again album is composed of such massive Sonic overdrive that you can feel it in your bones and the entire thing is riddled with not only crazy energy, but impressive guitar work all around, a pristine production that balances between super polished and slightly underground, and an addictive set of hooks both musically and vocally that come right at you.

I love that there are definitely certain surprises around the corners of this record and by the time you get to the third or fourth track you begin to get a really good vibe for what this record is all about.

The album is indeed quite anthemic and one of the things that hits the hardest about it is that fire and electric energy because it never stops and is completely relentless from beginning to end.

It almost feels like some of these tracks were recorded live on the floor and all the players were feeding off each other the entire time.

It's got that live performance underbelly and that's part of what helps it really thrive and come through with this punch and edginess that hits as hard as it does.

You also get a great combination of old and new school heavy and hard rock approaches that beckon metal of the '80s and '90s but also bring in flavorful and new approaches that let the songs come through catchy and colorful balanced with that heavy-handed edginess as well.

You can definitely hear that punk rock influence coming through on a lot of the songs and these tracks thrash out with intense guitar tones and these boisterous and full-bodied feeling layers of texture that it hits like a sucker punch to the gut.

The album has attitude and is riddled with that personality through and through. Each element of the record seems to complement and push the next. This is part of why it has that live energy feel as well.

This is most certainly one of those albums that you listen to from beginning to end because while listening to the first few tracks may give you an idea or a gist of what you could expect, it does not give you the full spectrum of what the album has to offer as a whole.

I love how they take those underground elements that make it so heavy and bring those into a slightly pop-coated approach. At times this makes the tracks addictive and because of this, these are songs that you can sing along with with your fists in the air, headbang, or move the couch back and jump around the living room with.

This is what makes this record so damn fun. It covers all the bases and while it's heavy and hard, it also has something for everybody because some of these tracks have hooks that end up bouncing around in your brain for hours or even days after the songs have ended and the only way to satiate that is to go and listen to them again.

The drums are absolutely slamming the entire time and really give the rest of the band that drive to push the envelope but again, all of the elements push the next. The guitars also had tons of drive, the bass guitar lends a hand to thickening the songs but also takes little walks here and there, and the vocals come through with an animated and robust approach.

All these things come together to build an atmosphere you really fall into and come to love.

This record is 100% for fans of alternative, heavy, punk, and thrash metal because it covers all of those bases so incredibly well that all blend together seamlessly.

It's been a long time since I had so much fun blasting a record and when you listen to it, you have to do it loud as well.

Turning it up is the way to listen to this record. It needs to be pumped and bumped.

Again, I urge you to listen to the entire record from beginning to end and remember where you heard this first.
