An Interview With DH OFFICIAL

A fresh banger from DH OFFICIAL it's hard with a fiery energy and flow that come together to create an atmosphere that he can call his own.

"Come Alive" features what feels like a flawless rap breaks off with so much character that you can't turn away from it.

One of the best things about this track is the way that he does his thing. The wrapping approach is full-bodied, and the lyrical phrasing is really impressive.

He goes through so much in such a short time span that listening to the song only once just won't do.

You have to listen to this track a few times to really soak it in fully but that's what great singles are all about. Being able to hit play again as soon as it ends to make sure that you can listen harder and catch everything this time.

The single has a heavy-handed groove, and the beat is massive but there is still this ambience throughout the undertone of the track that helps it feel cinematic in a way.

One of the great things about this track as well is that you can hear how much DH OFFICIAL loves to do his thing. This artist has an absolute love for his craft that's undeniable and you can hear it with every passing second of this track.

There was definitely a lot of attention to detail and the way the words follow each other to the beat was very intricate and precisely done but never loses its soul or passion.

One of my favorite things about it is that you get elements of an obvious new school rap style, however you do get hints of classic and old school feels in there as well and he's able to blend those together and weave everything so well that it's seamless.

And this is why it's so easy to just get into this track.

Now, once you let this track hit you, you find yourself wanting to dig in a little deeper to see what else he's released in the past.

When you do this you're in for a treat because there's a ton of really good material released throughout his catalog for the past 6 years at least.

There's a lot of gems that stand on their own two feet like "Come Alive" for example, however he does have full length albums that are gigantic and listening to these albums from start to finish is awesome.

With the release of the new single, we wanted to have a sit-down with DH OFFICIAL to find out where this one came from and what might be coming up next for the artist.

Here's what happened.

Buzz Slayers: Okay DH OFFICIAL, let's start with "Come Alive"! This had a sharp flow and was high energy and a little fiery which came through with power! How did this track come about?

This track was a long time coming. I actually intended for this track to come out on my last project "Meanwhile" back in 2020 but thought it would be better served as a single for another project.

Buzz Slayers: How did this all start for you musically?

I miraculously made it through my first-year college and met some Super Friends who had their own recording studio. At first it was on some chill vibey stuff, then they asked me if I could rap and if I wanted to get on the mic. I did, and the rest was history.

Buzz Slayers: What kind of things really inspire songs for you?

Honestly just my life. Whether it be from my miscellaneous travels, or from past or current situations, I just pull from my mental and emotional state from those experiences. I also believe in the mindset of manifestation and not giving up until you accomplish your goals.

Buzz Slayers: This song has some great style combinations on it! Can you give us some of your biggest influences musically?

Lil Wayne for sure. He's the GOAT rapper in my opinion. Of course, the Southern Super Friends as well shoutout the guys. Overall, I just love music though so i can be influenced and inspired in any moment or genre.

Buzz Slayers: What are you doing when you're NOT working on music?

No such thing! Whether it is promoting my music, performing live, watching anime with the sound off etc. I am always looking for more ways to build upon the music I've made, and let that be the reason why I travel other business ventures etc. I do appreciate family time and sports too.

Buzz Slayers: Who's in your headphones right now?

Top 4 at this moment:

- Everything Super by Southern Super Friends

- Gumbo by Young Nudy

- there's no place like IBIZA by LB Swan

- Love Sick by Don Toliver

Buzz Slayers: Are you doing any live performances right now?

Always, I LOVE to perform on stage and showcasing my music to the crowd. Lately I have been all over the nation on the Everything Super Tour with my team the Southern Super Friends. Next show will be in Phoenix, AZ 420 weekend.

Buzz Slayers: Did you record yourself or hit a big studio for this?

Myself, also mixed and mastered the track myself as well. The beat was produced by the homie Janesh, love working with him.

Buzz Slayers: What can your fans expect from you in the near future?

More work man. I'm literally addicted to my hustle and love putting the work in to accomplish my dreams and goals. Fans won't have to go too long without hearing more new music from me, we got more drops coming sooner than you think.

Buzz Slayers: Before we go, what would you like to say to fans of the music?

No matter what you do in this life make sure that you're OFFICIAL in it. Put your best foot forward and keep moving towards being great at what you do. You gotta be addicted to your hustle, whatever that is for you. And as you keep moving forward the hard work is gonna pay off.
