The latest release coming from Alwyn Morrison has a wonderfully bright sonic approach to it and feels like a contemporary pop love song as he gets into a certain part of his life with descriptive lyrics that you end up really relating to, and it's all done with a certain kind of charm to boot.

"Lenox Hill" is a warm song, and that warmth comes from not only the lyrics but the way that he performs them.

There's something alluring about his vocal approach that reels you in, and the music and production for the single combine a singer-songwriter element with pianos and arrangement, but it's accompanied by all this other instrumentation, including a heavy-handed beat that brings it into a more pop realm and gives the song an upswing.

This is quite an immense combination and makes for a song that displays vibrancy and bounce.

You do end up really holding on to the sentiment of the song as he talks about how that part of his life was accompanied by someone who meant something to him. Someone that brightened up his days.

This is something a lot of us can understand if we have that special someone who makes mundane and normal things feel bigger and better.

The track is piano-based and features melodies that stick with you, especially the chorus of the song, which is quite robust, and throughout it all, he paints this picture for you.

As the song unfolds, you get more and more of this picture, and you can connect with the song in different ways.

Musically, this track is incredibly memorable because it has great hooks in it but also because the tones of the track have that vibrancy and brightness to them that make you feel good when you listen to it.

This is obviously an artist who is not afraid to speak his mind and can write songs that show some depth and personal meaning, which in turn is part of why we connect with songs like this so much.

This was a beautiful song, and it got its hooks in me pretty quickly.

The track comes with a music video also, and the video is, in a way, just as bright and vivacious as the song itself.

It showcases the sentiment of the song even more by displaying personal experiences with that person. The comfort, love, and understanding are all displayed well in this video.

All of this comes along with the excitement of the big city and his life there.

So, all these elements come together and paint this big picture but the video expresses that even more, along with displaying some of that presence he displays on the song even further.

This is someone who definitely has a strong presence as an artist and puts that out there in his music to be read loud and clear.

It takes a lot of guts to write a song about something that you reminisce about with such heart.

This was obviously a time in Alwyn's life that he thinks about often, and even in the song, he mentions that he dreams about those nights.

Being able to open up as an artist and let all of that come out is brilliant and the song again boasts that beautiful contemporary pop approach that feels very radio friendly and has a way of making you think of your own person or people.

You have to love a song that you connect with on a level that makes your own memories pop into your head.

This is part of what music like this is for. It's for him and him alone but, it also connects with others so that they can think of their people in their situation.

We all have parts of our lives that we can reminisce on warmly and be happy that we experienced, whether they're still happening or not.

When you listen to this track, I suggest doing it with the music video because it really does help push the sentiment of the song and gives you some great visuals to latch onto so you can put a face to the personality.

Check out the single and music video, and you'll see exactly what I mean.

Remember where you heard it first.
