A Wonderfully Honest Pop EP from Aanvi.S

An EP release from Aanvi.S delivers a range of outstanding and vivacious pop soundscape, and all manages to come through with such a robust and honest approach that it delivers character and personality throughout its unfolding which is something you end up getting quite attached to right from the get-go.

The Emotions EP is riddled with descriptive displays of inner thought that feel like some of them were actually cathartic for the artist to write and release however, whoever is listening to it may actually relate to a lot of the stuff as well so there's a strong sort of connection through that honesty and through that character that come shining through during the course of this record.

This is something that I would certainly look out for because when you come forth with such a great pop record, you want to have layers and Aanvi certainly does have some amazing layers come through when you listen to the EP and on that note, I must say that listening to this full release from beginning to end is the only way to go.

Yes, it is pop for sure but there are different approaches, Styles, and emotions that come through with various songs so if you only listen to one or two songs from the record then you're not getting the full spectrum of what the full ep actually has to offer.

This is not something you want to miss out on because again, there's a lot of honesty that shines through and this is part of what makes it so addictive.

The musical approach is outstanding because it's got a great polish to it and there's little Throwbacks that hint at classic and vintage '80s pop as well as current feels so that blend of old and new school Styles really works wonders here.

Some of the synth and key sounds are perfect and there's such an outstanding dynamic balance throughout this record as well that really gives everything such a lush feel and approach.

I feel like these songs serve almost like chapters in her life and when you listen to it in full, you get more of the full picture.

I definitely cannot deny an artist that puts pieces of herself in her music and that's exactly what Aanvi he's doing here. She's using her emotions, feelings, inner thoughts, and experiences and she's creating something from that which is one of the purest forms of art if you ask me.

Again, this is a very understandable and relatable EP especially for younger people because it's got so much of that raw energy and emotion attached to it.

Speaking of which, the energy across this record is outstanding as well. I feel like she's putting a lot into her performances on these songs and the arrangements, compositions, and progressions of these tracks really perfectly in terms of being very radio friendly and something that even at times feels cinematic.

When I say that, I mean that I can hear these songs in the scene of a film or a TV show very easily because of that emotion that's involved.

Is really putting yourself out there and she's doing so with no walls built around it.

I'm always a fan of any kind of art form with fewer boundaries of walls than you may be used to because then you end up not only relating to it and understanding it, but again, connecting with it more.

When you start connecting with the music, you're listening to that's when it starts making a difference.

This record has elements of indie pop, commercial pop, contemporary pop, soul, a little bit of jazz, and a lot more involved and she manages to roll all this up into one record and have it flow seamlessly.

Upon listening to this record, I can immediately tell that Aanvi.S is someone that has fallen in love with her craft and has managed at a young age to actually hone it in really well and create songs that are catchy, memorable, and honest.

A very impressive EP to say the least, have a listen to Emotions as soon as you can and do it with headphones on because it's one of the best ways to listen.

Remember where you heard it first.
