A Warm and Honest Single from Joshua McCooey

In the latest brand-new single release from Joshua McCooey, the artist lets it all out and gets very personal with a reflective and honest approach that certainly comes from the heart but also has a way of washing over the listener so that you also feel like you're a part of what's going on and this puts you in the moment would you don't often get so, this was quite a beautiful release and a great direction for Joshua as an artist.

"Love Letter" serves as exactly that for someone and it's so relatable and articulated so well that you end up taking it to heart.

One of the things I love about this is how descriptive the lyrics can be as he gets into the color of the person's eyes and how it makes him feel.

All these aspects are things you understand when you listen to the song especially if you've ever been in love or felt that strong feeling for someone.

I love how artists like Joshua can describe these things with such amazing detail and keep them so emotional.

This was a heartwarming single and the musical approach to it is really something that grows the deeper into the song you get so you have these additional keys and synth tones that end up filling the space and creating a bigger and more robust sort of atmosphere, but still has the spacious and ambient underbelly.

This is part of the beauty of a song like this because it's supposed to take you away. It's supposed to sweep you up and bring you to another person's point of view, and it works like a charm.

I love the personal approach that Joshua is taking on this track which is not new for the artist because he does get pretty personal in different aspects of his music, but this one feels like it was something he was driven to do by pure emotion and pure feeling so it has that one-on-one tonality to it that feels like you're sitting right there watching him performing in front of you.

This makes the song very beautiful and it is indeed quite a warming song overall and performed with a gracefulness that makes it touching and genuine.

By the time you get to the second half of the track, you have these sort of lush string sections that feel orchestrated and give the song a lot of layers of texture and color, but the whole thing has a wonderful sentiment that comes through with heart and I think that's what Joshua has a lot of in most of his music honestly.

He's got a lot of heart that he puts into it so when you listen to the songs you can tell that each one means something to him even if it's a bright, poppy track, it still has some kind of deeper meaning for Joshua as an artist.

This song is a slow burn that's immersive and lets you get washed away with everything you hear in the soundscape.

Musical build and arrangement, composition, and even production are really on point, so you're able to not only take this little journey with him but you were able to take it into your own as well so you may think of certain people in your life when you listen to the song and that's where the connection comes in.

Really well done, and performed with, again, a lot of heart, take a listen to "Love Letter" because if you were a romantic like me, then I think it's going to affect you.

Remember where you heard it first.
