A thrashing and invasive new single from Until Dusk Fades bring out a blackened death metal approach that also lends a hand to melodic and thrash with elements of speed and a brutal force when it comes to energy.
"Invasion" wastes very little time hitting hard with a memorable riff right from the get-go and the track only gets more explosive from there but compiles three or four different parts together to create a huge song.
This is the type of track that you listen to loudly. The drumming is fierce and precise but also adds massive amounts of driving backbone to the track helping it push through the threshold and hit the spot where it needs to be.
The whole song is completely blistering and one of the best acts about it is that everyone in the band has that same level of energy so the entire thing packs a massive punch.
Again, this single is composed of a few different approaches when it comes to metal although thrash and death are at the forefront of it all, you hear all kinds of great melodic riffs and breakdown sections throughout the song giving you the understanding that there are other influences at play.
The drums have a way of cutting through everything and the guitars have a thick low end but a sharp high end so everything comes together like puzzle pieces.
The vocals are shredding, intense, and in your face. You can't escape the harshness or inventiveness of how she is giving her message.
This was a massive single and certainly showcases how this project is something that means a lot to the people involved. There's a lot of attention to detail during the creation of this song because everything is so tight and performed with a great Precision but, it also has a certain kind of heart to it and a powerful force.
These are some of the greatest elements of the song itself.
This is a great introduction to Until Dusk Fades. When you're done with this track, go and check out the Behind Closed Doors EP from last year because that is an amazing record that also showcases different sides of songwriting and production.
I feel like this is a step in an amazing direction for the project and you can tell that there's a real love for the craft involved here. There's also a real love for the genre. The riffs, guitar work, and tightness of how everything is put together is amazing and the vocals really give the song another texture of cutting tonality that also brings an added aggression and drive to the song.
There's also a great mix to this track. Again, the drumming cuts through everything so you could hear all the crazy double kick work adding that thrashy speed metal undertone and everything is very balanced.
The guitars, bass, drumming, and vocals are all perfectly clear so you can hear every element of this song which is not an easy achievement when it comes to mixing a brutal metal song like this one.
Check this song out and, again, turn it up. Also, check out that previous EP from last year because it's a massive record that is six tracks long but really has some amazing surprises around its corners.
I honestly can't wait to hear what's next from the project.
Check out this release as soon as you can and remember where you heard it first.
