A recent single release from We Are One delivers a blend of heavy hitting subgenres that all create an impactful and edgy tonality and soundscape but is also brimming with character which is one of the things you end up really latching on to in the first place.
"The Power of 3" is a very hard-hitting track that takes a lot of elements of metal from thrash, death, and even melodic and bring them together to create an atmosphere that you end up falling right into and the whole track delivers a slew of surprises around its corners which are all moshworthy for the most part.
One of the things I really liked about this song is its ability to bend genres that free will with breakdowns that bring in an almost electronica undertone with building beats and the arrangement of the track really lets certain sections build and intensity until you reach a final climax which is absolutely destructive.
The song has some crazy bridges and super tight performances guitar and drum wise but really it's the vocals that pull you in because they have this amazingly aggressive tonality to them which is part of what helps drive the song and push the envelope to where it needs to be.
This is definitely a track that takes a super heavy sound and creates something a little bit new and refreshing with it because it does blend alternative pop, touches of industrial, and a lot of metal so you get the best of a whole bunch of Worlds with this one.
The energy level is beyond and really becomes quite addictive and the whole thing just has an incredibly sonic drive and an overall dark edge to it that sticks throughout.
I love a really heavy banger like this because it's got one of those choruses that just stick with you and you end up chanting along with it in your head even when it's not playing out loud.
The cool thing about that is, the only way to satiate something like that is to go and listen to the song again and to me that's very smart songwriting.
There's a fire behind this track and an insane amount of creativity delivered from the project itself as it does actually come with a music video that also shows more presence and more of that dark edginess as well.
The video was shot really well and features the singer in a straight jacket doing his thing which is indeed a little bit haunting and matches perfectly with the song itself.
Spots in terms of tight metal sections, guitar tone, aggressive fierceness, and a sort of grueling underbelly that all packs a sucker punch to the gut.
This is for people that like a really good metal track that delivers a little bit more on the production side and on the character side as well because this song does overflow with that character.
Check this truck out as soon as you can, turn it nice and loud, and don't forget where you heard it first.
