A New Release from Synth-pop Duo FÉ

FÉ return with a new single that serves as another glimpse into their upcoming album and this track keeps to her classic and vintage 1980s pop approach. I can't express enough how that aesthetic is nailed through the entire song from music to the lyrics.

The track is simply called "2" and it most certainly feels like a track about the honeymoon stage of a new relationship.

The descriptions of all the elements of this relationship and the significant other that make them feel happy inside are so detailed that they can actually be a little simplistic to the point where you understand them completely.

They make perfect sense but are also incredibly relatable including lines about staying up and kissing all night, getting certain emoji texts during a hard workday, and more.

What I love about this track is that it's so straightforward and makes a lot of sense for a lot of people. It's incredibly relatable in terms of our everyday lives, especially if we have that person in our lives who makes us feel that way. Someone who does those little things to make our day a little bit brighter because they care.

This is a very danceable track, and it comes with a colorful burst of energy, charisma, and an almost bubbly vibrancy that makes it feel good to listen to.

This is indeed a fun single and it's meant to get up and dance around the room with.

When I listen to it, I get bouts of nostalgia as I did the last single from this duo. This is because they really do hit that classic 80s pop aesthetic well and I feel like a lot of thought and attention goes into that process.

Being able to pinpoint the right synth and key textures and tones to really bring that classic feel back into action and still have this vintage pop approach brought into a new platform.

It all ends up working out well and the band has a lot of fun doing this which is something you can clearly hear on all the releases I've heard so far.

This is most certainly a love letter to a certain someone and it makes me feel warm and fuzzy inside because of the way they deliver it.

I would call this a cross between synthwave, a little dream-pop, and of course again that vintage-pop approach and they rolled us all up into a song that feels alive and electric. It's fun and memorable with great hooks, great tones, and a nearly perfect energy performance-wise.

The vocals are super on point with the whole theme and vibe of the track and the entire project, to be honest.

An excellent release from a Danish Duo that again, is a peak to their debut album that is set to release the 28th of February.

Having heard a few tracks from this album already, I can tell you right now I can't wait for it.

Check this track out as soon as you can and remember where you heard it first.
