A New and Danceable Pop Banger from Wads

Writer: BuzzSlayersBuzzSlayers

A new release from Wads just dropped, and it brings together quite a few different electronic undertones and alternative pop soundscapes but also breeds this vast and expansive underbelly which gives it a bit of a dream pop feel.

"beast" is an outside-the-box, but a very well-placed single. The synths, keys, and beats all fall together like pieces of a puzzle, and the whole thing has a disco pop and experimental tonality that creates an atmosphere you don't want to leave.

Along with that atmospheric and robust tonality, you have a huge danceable factor. This track has a great group and you just can't sit still for it. If you're driving in the car, you're going to start shaking your butt in your seat. If you're at home, move the couch back so you can dance because that's what this track makes you want to do.

It's that disco-pop approach that gives it life and the experimental side comes from some of the synths and keys used along with the vocal approach.

Vocals on this track are more scattered than placed inverses. The track does not have a standard, cookie-cutter style to it whatsoever which is something I adore because when it comes to pop music in our days, it's all about blending and bending genres which is exactly what this song does and does it well.

The lyrical phrasing of those vocals is amazing. The second half of the song is filled with these inventive approaches to phrasing so that the words bounce in between those beats in different ways.

This comes across as refreshing because not only does it work well, but that's part of why it becomes so addicting.

Throughout the track, you have other kinds of keys that are scattered about and flow through the song's ether along with that expansive undertone I mentioned earlier.

It all creates an allure and this kind of smoothness to everything that is very laid back and almost coming but has an edginess to it.

The way that Wads brings together personality and character, along with a blend of color and edginess is brilliant.

This is not like most songs you've heard although it does have a familiarity to it that makes it sort of welcoming in its own right.

Again, this is pop-coated but still, avant-garde so it doesn't sit the same way as standard pop songs would.

This is a perfect example of a track that was created with fewer boundaries than what you may be used to, and again, I think this is where pop music is going in general so perhaps Wads is slightly ahead of the game here.

This track has a strange way of sticking with you for hours after it has ended and the only way to satiate that is to go back and listen to it once more.

Upon listening to this track I checked out another release from the artist called "come here", which shares some of the same staples but takes a little bit of a different direction.

Both of these tracks speak volumes for Wads and showcase his ability and love for the craft of songwriting and performing in general.

I would definitely check both of these tracks out and do it with headphones on because it's one of the best ways to get to the groove and soak in all the extra layers of textures that are going on throughout these two singles.

Take a deep dive into this one and be sure and keep a lookout for whatever Wads will be releasing soon because I'm sure it'll also be a bit surprising, refreshing, and inventive.

Remember where you heard it first.
