A Fantastical Love Song From ReLoVe

A recent single dropped from ReLoVe serves as a fantastical fairy tale that's based on love and the warmth of that premise comes through in the song vibrantly and with a descriptive and detailed approach that lets you sort of paint these pictures in your head.

"Join As One" has such a beautiful impact especially vocally because there are these layers of harmonies that come through in different parts of the song and even as backing vocals to sort of fill the space and it all works out well because the song comes through sort of robust and impactful but brightly and colorfully.

The thing that's nice about this track is that it's about love and it's a story that you can follow along with and sort of root for along the way and this is the kind of thing that can feel good to listen to.

I honestly feel like we need more music like this because not only does it have a storyline to it, but it has such a big sonic presence as well, so it has the best of two different worlds in a way.

The track has a memorable chorus and this subtly vibrant approach and feel that is produced by full-bodied instrumentation and a very well-balanced blending of sounds.

You also have some violins that come through and while the choruses are happening you have these duet vocals, violins flowing, and drums that are just really hard-hitting and all those elements together create a unique style that sticks with you.

They're also these great melodic hooks performed on the synthesizer and that's something else that I really like about it.

It has a musical hook to it and this kind of gives it a classic rock undertone in a way with a little bit of experimental and a psychedelia in there which all seem to complement each other incredibly well.

The music video that accompanies the single features two frogs falling in love and going on a little bit of a tropical journey adventure if you will, and this is something that you wouldn't expect right off the bat, but it somehow visually goes along with the song well.

I think that this video goes right along with the kind of persona that this project boasts in the first place which is something that has a little bit of a whimsical undertone at times which I think is great because this is a project that can release songs that are a little bit more serious but also songs that don't take themselves too seriously.

“Lyrically, it’s a gender specific fairytale with pre-conceived roles, so I wanted to get out of that labeling game and use sexless creatures to portray love.  Unsightly humanoid frog characters were perfect in revealing this beauty, without being aesthetically cute like puppies!”  Songwriter Glenn Jost laughs.

The combination of those two opposite sides of the spectrum is complete and, in a way, creates a bit of a staple feel for the project itself.

I suggest coming along for this fun and colorful musical journey by watching the video this time as it's one of the best ways to do it.
